This course is designed to teach pharmacy technicians, pharmacists and quality assurance personnel the core competencies necessary to safely prepare and deliver sterile commercial and compounding pharmaceuticals. The course meets or exceeds guidelines and standards required by the United States Pharmacopeial Forum General Chapter <797> (Pharmaceutical Compounding- Sterile Preparations). 75 contact hours

The course is designed for pharmacy technicians, pharmacists and quality assurance personnel. This course will review contemporary prescription compounding techniques and provide hands-on training utilizing the newest equipment and technologies. An independent study component of the course will examine the legal, quality control, and safety issues related to compounding of prescription medicals. This course is consistent with compounding guidelines enforced by the Joint Commission of Pharmacy Practitioners accrediting body.
The course is designed for pharmacy technicians, pharmacists and quality assurance personnel. Employment positions are available in dental offices, hospitals, clinics, dental schools and professional sales.

It is a highly recommended addition for successful pharmacy technician programs.
